A disease that’s deadly for your progress

98% percent of people reading this post suffer from a disease.

A disease that will butcher all the progress you could be making.

I call it information addiction.

And no, I’m not talking about the news.

I’m talking about:

  • Books

  • Courses

  • Guides

You see, most people think they actually need more information before they can get started… Hell, you might even think that, right?

You want to get everything right on the first try.

But that’s not how this life thing works. You will inevitably fail, and fail lots.

And no…

The people you see around you aren’t suffering any less than you. And even if they are doing better than you, it’s likely because they started earlier and not because they found some secret well of knowledge.

You don’t need any more information than you already consume.

(Buckle up cliche ahead)

You need to put that info to action.

WAIT - before you click off while saying: BORING. This is exactly what I mean.

You already heard this advice a thousand times, didn’t you?

But you still didn’t act on it.

See, what I’m talking about here?

Put your ego aside for a second please, and admit that you do need less ego stroking and more doing because all of us do.

Just take all the free info on this platform(not even the whole internet)

Yes, a lot of it is just garbage.

But if you just filter all the garbage out and only follow people who you know are honest and put out good content… You can literally learn skills here… FOR FREE.

But what do we do when we find a good post?

Save it to our bookmarks - which let’s be real, never will get read properly or applied.

Same with the basics.

You might know all the rules, but never actually got to properly apply them.

But when you do apply them…

You get a whole new understanding of them.

So, bottom line?

Limit the info you let in.

And put to use more of the info you already have.
