How to write stories that aren’t boring, dull and dry.

Stories can be powerful.

But most people's stories are boring, dull, dry and make people want to eat sandpaper rather than read their story.

Here’s how to not do that…

This tip is very simple and easy, and I’m pretty sure you already encountered it:

Be relatable with your story.

If people can relate to something(whether that’s a problem, desire, situation, ...) it will never be boring because it means that it’s familiar to them.

It’s likely a part of their life.

And nothing is more interesting to You, than Your life.

But how do you even come up with relatable stories?

Now here comes the beautiful part of all this fluff I wrote so far. We are very different from each other, but we live pretty much identical lives(most of us).

That means… To some degree, we experience the same problems, have the same cravings and wants, and encounter the same awkward situations.

That’s the key.

You don’t just make up relatable stories off the dome. It can be done, but those are usually the weaker ones.

The strongest ones are always from real life.

So really all you have to do is:

  • Look into your life

  • Find something that can be relatable

  • Publish

That’s all there is to it.

Tell a story…

Make a point that relates to their lives, problems, desires, or anything else that they experience.

And you'll never be boring again.
